Naruto: Really? Really???

I'd already given up any hope of decent female developement in this series. Caught between anger and intense loling at the badfic of it all, I'm going for the loling.

Also; I had been somewhat pissed I missed the low price on the 42 volume megaset of Naruto on Amazon last xmas. In retrospect some force was at work to spare me the necessity of burning them in a bonfire.

Crap. I was kind of hoping what I'd heard about the latest chapter was a big huge lie! Not that I follow Naruto but still.

I just can't see how any good can come of this? Like, if the series does go Naruto/Sakura, that was a crap confession, "hey, Naruto now that you are the hero of the village, I'll change my mind and go for you cus girls are fickle-ickle!" vs Sasuke/Sakura "I'm such an emotional girl I need to be told by big strong hero Naruto how I really feel!"

Either way is equally crappy writing. And makes the feminist issues of Naruto so much worse.

It's things like this that make me only occasionally check in and see what is up in the manga.
