Thoughts on "The Name of the Doctor"

I'm not sure why I continue to watch this show. No, I do. It's because no matter how absurd or whiny RTD's writing got at the end of his run, I really still loved all the characters involved.

During this episode, where the doctor's friends where called up, I just couldn't help comparing it to the Journey's End episode. Only there, I truly loved everyone that came back.

Jenny, Strax, Madame? I'm pretty much indifferent to all of them.

Also, is it so much to ask that if you build up to something over three seasons, it actually make some damn sense? How is Madame able to contact a digital River? (Also, btw, I don't know how people can ship Doctor/River, even if the actors have great chemistry. She gives and gives and he takes and takes. Every time I remember the crappy life River led because of him, I feel for her).

I won't lie. I'll watch the special because of Ten and Rose (though I'm sure Moffat is going to crap all over them too), but I think this episode was the straw that broke my back. I'm skipping next series until Moffat leaves.

In conclusion, Elementary finale still my favorite finale this season.
